Application effect of breast acupoint massage combined with kangaroo mother care in postpartum women
Objective To explore the effect of postpartum breast acupoint massage combined with kangaroo mother care on the exclusive breastfeeding rate,lactation volume,and breast distending pain of postpartum women.Methods A total of 100 postpartum women in the obstetrics ward of Army 73 rd Group Military Hospital of PLA from December 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the research subjects.They were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method,namely the observation group(50 participants,receiving postpartum breast acupoint massage and kangaroo mother care)and the control group(50 participants,receiving routine care).The exclusive breastfeeding rate,lactation volume,breast pain,and neonatal growth and development indicators were compared between the two groups.Results The rate of postpartum exclusive breastfeeding in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The lactation volume in the observation group was better than that in the control group after 7 days of nursing(P<0.05).The Visual Analogue Scale score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group after 7 days of nursing(P<0.05).The growth and development indicators of newborns in the observation group were better than those in the control group(all P<0.05).Conclusion In postpartum care for postpartum women,breast acupoint massage and kangaroo mother care can increase the exclusive breastfeeding rate and lactation volume of postpartum women,improve the condition of breast distending pain,and optimize the growth and development indicators of newborns.
