Application effect of strengthened health education combined with psychological nursing in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis
Objective To explore the effect of strengthened health education combined with psychological nursing on the patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the data of 82 maintenance hemodialysis patients admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Jiangsu University from January 2021 to December 2022.Assignment was done according to different nursing measures:a control group and an observation group.The 41 patients in the control group received routine nursing intervention,while the 41 patients in the observation group received intervention of strengthened health education combined with psychological nursing.The weight gain and mastery of health education knowledge were compared between the two groups during hemodialysis,and their psychological state was evaluated at admission,discharge,and 1 month after discharge.Results The distribution proportion of weight gain of 3%~5%in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group,and the distribution proportions of weight gain of<3%,5%~7%,and>7%were all lower than those of the control group(all P<0.05).At discharge and 1 month after discharge,the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and the Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(all P<0.05),and the SAS and SDS scores of both groups were lower than those at admission(all P<0.05).The observation group scored higher than the control group in terms of self-care knowledge,medication and dietary knowledge,disease knowledge,and health knowledge mastery(all P<0.05).Conclusion Strengthened health education combined with psychological nursing can not only enhance the patients'ability of water control and effectively control the body weight changes during hemodialysis,but also improve their psychological state and enhance their mastery of health education knowledge.
