Effect of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation nursing on the improvement of gastrointestinal function in patients with acute myocardial infarction
Objective To explore the improvement effect of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation nursing on the gastrointestinal function of patients with acute myocardial infarction. Methods A total of 96 patients with acute myocardial infarction admitted to Yancheng No.1 People's Hospital from August 2021 to October 2022 were selected as the research subjects. They were assigned into a control group(48 cases who received routine nursing)and an observation group(48 cases who received traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation nursing)using envelope randomization. The constipation status, clinical efficacy, gastrointestinal function, incidence of adverse events, and negative emotions of the two groups were compared. Results After 7 days of intervention, the observation group had lower scores than the control group in the defecation interval, defecation time, stool characteristics, and degree of difficult defecation,as well as the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale and the Self-Rating Depression Scale. Those scores in both groups decreased compared with those before intervention. There were statistical differences(all P<0.05).After 7 days of intervention, the frequency of bowel sounds in 1 minute in both groups increased compared with that before intervention, and the duration of abdominal distension was shortened compared with that before intervention(all P<0.05).The observation group performed better than the control group(both P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the observation group had a higher total effective rate of treatment and a lower total incidence of adverse events(both P<0.05).Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation nursing can significantly improve the gastrointestinal function of patients with acute myocardial infarction, alleviate their constipation and negative emotions, and reduce the incidence of adverse events, with good clinical efficacy.
