Application of exercise rehabilitation program based on patient's condition in the rehabilitation of patients with breast cancer after radical mastectomy
Objective To investigate the effect of exercise rehabilitation program based on patient's condition in the rehabilitation of patients with breast cancer after radical mastectomy. Methods A total of 96 breast cancer patients who underwent radical mastectomy at the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University from June 2021 to May 2023 were selected and divided into two group according to the random number table. The control group(48 cases)was given routine nursing methods, while the observation group(48 cases)was given exercise rehabilitation program based on the patient's condition. The intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results Compared with 1 day and 1 month after surgery, both groups had greater shoulder joint range of motion, lower scores on the Cancer-Related Fatigue scale and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, and higher scores on the Constant-Murley Score and Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Breast at 3 months after surgery. The above indicators and scores of both groups were also better at 1 month after surgery than at 1 day after surgery. The observation group had better indicators and scores at 1 and 3 months after surgery compared to the control group during the same period, and the total incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistical differences(all P<0.05).Conclusion The exercise rehabilitation program based on the patient's condition can help improve the shoulder joint mobility and sleep quality of patients with breast cancer after surgery, alleviate their cancerous fatigue, improve their quality of life and shoulder joint function, and reduce the incidence of complications.
