Effect of auricular acupoint pressing beans combined with pediatric massage on the growth and development of children with heart and spleen deficiency syndrome
Objective To explore the implementation effect of auricular acupoint pressing beans combined with pediatric massage in children with heart and spleen deficiency syndrome.Methods A total of 96 children with heart and spleen deficiency syndrome admitted to the pediatric department of Zhangjiagang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Jiangsu Province from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected as the study subjects.The enrolled subjects were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method,with 48 cases in each group.The control group received western medicine for health care,while the observation group received auricular acupoint pressing beans combined with pediatric massage.The growth and development indicators,bone metabolism indicators,as well as the complaints of recurrence and changes in traditional Chinese medicine constitution were compared between the two groups.Results After 2 months of intervention and 6 months of follow-up,the height,weight,waist circumference,and chest circumference of both groups increased(all P＜0.05),and the observation group were larger than the control group during the same period(all P＜0.05).After 2 months of intervention and 6 months of follow-up,the levels of osteocalcin,type Ⅰ collagen carboxy-terminal peptide,and bone alkaline phosphatase in both groups increased(all P＜0.05),and the observation group were higher than the control group during the same period(all P＜0.05).During the intervention and follow-up period,the chief complaint recurrence rate in the observation group was lower than that in the control group during the same period(both P＜0.05).After 2 months of intervention and 6 months of follow-up,the constitution improvement rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group during the same period(both P＜0.05).Conclusion Auricular acupoint pressing beans combined with pediatric massage can have a positive impact on the growth and development of children with heart and spleen deficiency syndrome,as well as the improvement of the body bones.It also helps to control symptom recurrence and promote constitution transformation.
