Effect of traditional Chinese medicine Qudu Decoction fumigation combined with wrist-ankle acupuncture on the rehabilitation of patients after hemorrhoidectomy
Objective To explore the effect of traditional Chinese medicine Qudu Decoction fumigation combined with wrist-ankle acupuncture on the degree and duration of pain in patients after hemorrhoidectomy.Methods A total of 176 patients who underwent hemorrhoidectomy at Taizhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February 2020 to October 2022 were selected as the survey subjects,and a retrospective analysis was conducted.They were divided into two groups based on different treatment and nursing methods,with 88 patients in each group.The control group received routine nursing measures,while the observation group received traditional Chinese medicine Qudu Decoction fumigation combined with wrist-ankle acupuncture nursing measures.The degree of pain,wound healing status,and traditional Chinese medicine symptom score of patients were evaluated and compared.Results The results after nursing showed that the pain degree in the observation group was less than that in the control group,with a significantly lower proportion of severe pain compared to the control group(P＜0.05),and a significantly higher proportion of mild pain compared to the control group(P＜0.05).However,there was no statistically significant difference in moderate pain between the groups(P＞0.05).The wound healing status of the observation group was better than that of the control group,with lower Visual Analogue Scale scores,earlier wound healing time,and shorter duration of pain compared to the control group(all P＜0.05).The traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores of anal burning,purulent and bloody stools,and bitter mouth and dry throat in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(all P＜0.05).Conclusion The combination of traditional Chinese medicine Qudu Decoction fumigation and wrist-ankle acupuncture intervention in patients after hemorrhoidectomy can effectively reduce the degree of pain,shorten the duration of pain,and improve the clinical symptoms.
