Application effect of Internet-based continuous care in patients with senile frailty syndrome
Objective To explore the intervention effect of continuous care under the Internet platform in patients with senile frailty syndrome. Methods Ninety patients with senile frailty syndrome who were admitted to Tongji Hospital,Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology from August 2021 to August 2022 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into an observation group(45 cases)and a control group(45 cases)using a random drawing method, and were given Internet-based continuous care and basic care respectively. The physical signs and other indicators of the two groups were compared. Results After 3 months of nursing, the grip strength, timed up and go test, short physical performance battery scores,as well as calf circumference, albumin, prealbumin and fibronectin levels in both groups were significantly improved compared to before nursing(all P<0.05).The above indexes in the observation group were better than those in the control group(all P<0.05).After 1 month and 3 months of nursing, the scores of Activities of Daily Living Scale(ADL)in both groups were higher than those before nursing(all P<0.05),and the scores of ADL in the observation group were higher than those in the control group during the same period(all P<0.05).Conclusion Internet-based continuous care can not only help patients with senile frailty syndrome improve their symptoms, signs, and nutritional status, but also promote their motor function and living ability.
