Effect of moving cupping therapy on the score of the area and severity of skin lesions in patients with plaque psoriasis vulgaris
Objective To analyze the effect of moving cupping therapy on the score of the area and severity of skin lesions in patients with plaque psoriasis vulgaris.Methods A total of 100 patients with plaque psoriasis vulgaris admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Xinjiang Medical University from December 2020 to December 2022 were selected and divided into a research group and a control group using a random envelope method,with 50 patients in each group.The control group received routine intervention measures,while the research group received additional moving cupping therapy on the basis of routine intervention measures.The area and severity of skin lesions,symptom score,quality of life evaluation,and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after intervention.Results After 8 weeks of intervention,the Psoriasis Area and Severity Index(PASI)score,skin lesions color,pruritus,squamous and dry skin,and tongue syndrome score,and the scores of all dimensions of the World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF Scale(WHO QOL-BREF)of the research group were all better than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups during the intervention period(P>0.05).Conclusion The moving cupping therapy can alleviate the symptoms of skin lesions in patients with plaque psoriasis vulgaris,reduce the severity,improve the quality of life,and have no obvious adverse reactions.
