Application of psychological intervention combined with behavioral motivation conversion concept in postoperative nursing of patients with acute suppurative appendicitis
Objective To examine the application effect of psychological intervention combined with behavioral motivation conversion concept in the postoperative nursing of patients with acute suppurative appendicitis.Methods Ninety patients with acute suppurative appendicitis at Liaocheng People's Hospital from July 2021 to December 2022 were recruited.They were allocated into an observation group and a control group using a lottery method,each with 45 cases.The control group carried out routine nursing,while the observation group carried out psychological intervention combined with behavioral motivation conversion concept.The postoperative recovery time,length of hospital stay,psychological state,quality of life,and other factors were compared between the two groups.Results The observation group had shorter time to first postoperative ambulation,time to anal exhaust,and length of hospital stay compared with the control group(all P<0.05).At discharge,the scores of the Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS),the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),the Generic Quality of Life Inventory-74(GQOLI-74),and the Exercise of Self-Care Agency(ESC A)in both groups were better than those on the 1 st and 3rd days postoperatively(all P<0.05).On the 3rd day postoperatively,the above scores in both groups were better than those on the 1st day postoperatively(all P<0.05).On the 3rd day postoperatively and at discharge,the above scores in the observation group were better than those in the control group(all P<0.05).Conclusion Psychological intervention combined with behavioral motivation conversion concept can improve the psychological state,quality of life,and self-care ability of patients with acute suppurative appendicitis,shorten their recovery time,and reduce the incidence of postoperative complications.
