Construction and application effect of refined nursing strategies in the intensive care unit for patients with primary liver cancer after laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery
Objective To construct the refined nursing strategies in the intensive care unit(ICU)for patients with primary liver cancer after laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery, and explore the application effect. Methods A total of 150 patients with primary liver cancer who underwent laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery at Qilu Hospital of Shandong University from July 2019 to June 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group using a random number table method, with 75 patients in each group. The control group received routine nursing in the ICU after surgery, while the observation group developed and implemented refined nursing strategies in the ICU after surgery. The postoperative recovery status was compared between the two groups. Results The postoperative recovery time of the observation group was earlier than that of the control group, the nursing satisfaction score was higher than that of the control group, and the total incidence of complications was lower than that of the control group(all P<0.05).On the first day after surgery and before discharge, the serum levels of total bilirubin,glutamic-pyruvic transaminase, and glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase in both groups were higher than those on the first day before surgery, but the above indicators before discharge were lower than those on the first day after surgery(all P<0.05).Compared with the control group during the same period, the above indicators in the observation group were lower(all P<0.05).On the third day after surgery and before discharge, the Visual Analogue Scale scores of both groups were lower than those on the first day after surgery. The European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire-Core 30 scores of both groups were higher than those on the first day after surgery, and the above scores before discharge were better than those on the third day after surgery(all P<0.05).Compared with the control group during the same period, the observation group had better scores(all P<0.05).Conclusion The construction and implementation of refined nursing strategies during ICU hospitalization of patients with primary liver cancer after laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery can help shorten their postoperative recovery time, improve their liver function and quality of life, alleviate pain, and reduce the incidence of complications such as abdominal infection.
