The impact of pathway based traditional Chinese medicine nursing on postoperative complications in patients with mixed hemorrhoids during the perioperative period
Objective To analyze the clinical value of pathway based traditional Chinese medicine nursing in patients with mixed hemorrhoids during the perioperative period, and to evaluate its impact on the incidence of postoperative complications in patients. Methods The research period was determined to be from January 2020 to December 2022,and the selected subjects were 90 patients with mixed hemorrhoids who were admitted to Jianhu People's Hospital in Jiangsu Province and underwent surgical treatment. The participants were divided into a control group(45 cases)and an observation group(45 cases)by random number table method. The control group received routine perioperative care, while the observation group received pathway based traditional Chinese medicine nursing during the perioperative period. The nursing effect of the two groups were observed. The evaluate indicators included postoperative complication rate,Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score for pain, and rehabilitation effect. Results Before surgery, there was no statistically significant difference in VAS scores between the two groups(P>0.05).The VAS scores of both groups at 8 hours,24 hours, and 48 hours after surgery decreased compared to preoperative levels(all P<0.05),and the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group at the same time(all P<0.05).The total incidence of postoperative edema, bleeding, urinary retention and anal edge edema in the two groups was statistically analyzed, and the measured values were low in the observation group(P<0.05).The comparison of wound healing time, first defecation time, and hospitalization time between the two groups showed that the observation group had a shorter duration(all P<0.05).Conclusion Applying pathway based traditional Chinese medicine nursing to the perioperative period of mixed hemorrhoid patients has outstanding effects in reducing postoperative pain symptoms, preventing complications, accelerating wound healing, and promoting patient recovery.
