Application of cluster nursing and humanistic care in children with severe pneumonia in pediatric intensive care unit
Objective To analyze the effect and clinical significance of the combination of cluster nursing and humanistic care in children with severe pneumonia in the pediatric intensive care unit ( PICU).Methods The clinical data of 102 children with severe pneumonia admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical University from July 2020 to June 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. They were assigned to a control group ( n=52 ) and an observation group ( n=50 ) according to different nursing methods. The control group was given humanistic care, and the observation group was given cluster nursing and humanistic care. The recovery time of physical signs, treatment related time, complication rate, and blood gas parameters of the two groups were compared. Results Compared with the control group, the observation group had a shorter recovery time for physical signs and treatment related time, and a lower incidence of complications ( all P<0.05 ).At the time of discharge from the PICU and hospital, the blood gas parameters of the observation group were better than those of the control group ( all P<0.05 ),and both groups improved compared with admission ( all P<0.05 ).Conclusion The application of cluster nursing and humanistic care in PICU patients with severe pneumonia can significantly accelerate the recovery of physical signs, shorten the treatment related time, reduce the complication rate, and improve the blood gas parameters.
