Effect of hospital-community-family follow-up integrated nursing on maintenance hemodialysis patients
Objective To explore the effect of hospital-community-family follow-up integrated nursing on maintenance hemodialysis patients. Methods A total of 118 maintenance hemodialysis patients admitted to Zhenjiang First People's Hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were enrolled. They were allocated into a control group and an observation group by drawing lots. The control group (59 cases) received routine nursing, while the observation group (59 cases) received hospital-community-family follow-up integrated nursing. The self-management and self-care abilities, psychological state, quality of life, and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results After 3 months of nursing, the scores of self-management and self-care abilities of the observation group were higher than those of the control group ( all P<0.05 ),and both groups achieved higher scores compared with those before nursing ( all P<0.05 ).After 1 and 3 months of nursing, the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale scores,Hamilton Depression Rating Scale scores, and serum creatinine level in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the Short Form-36 Health Survey scores, albumin, and hemoglobin levels were higher than those in the control group ( all P<0.05 ).The above scores and indicators of both groups were better than those before nursing ( all P<0.05 ).Compared with the total incidence of complications in the control group ( 16.95%),the observation group ( 5.08%) had a lower incidence ( P<0.05 ).Conclusion Hospital-community-family follow-up integrated nursing model for patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis can help improve their psychological state and self-management and self-care abilities,as well as improve their renal function, nutritional level, and quality of life, with a relatively low incidence of complications.
