Effect of nursing of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine on related symptoms and sleep quality of patients with cervical spondylosis
Objective To analyze the improvement effect of nursing of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine on related symptoms and sleep quality of patients with cervical spondylosis.Methods A total of 104 patients with cervical spondylosis who were hospitalized at Hai'an Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine between December 2019 and December 2022 were selected.They were grouped by using a random number table.Both control group and observation group contained 52 patients.The control group received routine western medicine nursing,while the observation group received nursing of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine.The traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores,Visual Analogue Scale ( VAS) scores,and sleep quality of the two groups were evaluated.Results After 24 h,1 week,and 2 weeks of nursing,the VAS scores of both groups were significantly lower than those after admission,and the observation group achieved lower scores than the control group.There were statistically significant differences (all P<0.05).After 2 weeks of nursing,the results of traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores of the two groups showed that the observation group achieved lower scores than the control group.The results of sleep quality scores showed that the observation group achieved higher scores than the control group (all P<0.05).In both groups,the above scores after 2 weeks of nursing were better than those after admission ( all P<0.05 ).Conclusion The nursing of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine has a positive significance in improving the clinical symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine and relieving the pain and discomfort of patients with cervical spondylosis,and can improve the sleep quality of patients.
