Exploring the Mechanism of Negative Workplace Gossip Affecting Employee Thriving at Work
There is objectivity and internal mechanism in the process of negative workplace gossip affecting employee thriving at work.Based on the theory of emotional cognitive apprarisal,the author constructs a moderated mediation model.SPSS 25.0 software is used to conduct statistical analysis on the valid questionnaire survey tracking data collected from 267 employees at three time points,and empirically tests the internal correlation between negative workplace gossip and employee thriving at work.The results show that:negative workplace gossip negatively affects employee thriving at work;workplace anxiety plays a mediating role between them;proactive personality plays a moderating role in the process of negative workplace gossip affecting employee thriving at work.This study reveals the internal mechanism of negative workplace gossip affecting employee thriving at work through the empirical analysis.The research conclusion expands the application scope of emotional cognitive apprarisal theory and enriches the relevant literature in the research field of organizational behavior.The research conclusions provide theoretical basis for enterprises to avoid the decline of employee thriving at work by effectively preventing and controlling negative workplace gossip.
