How Field Engineers in Vocational Education Are Cultivated:A Case Study Based on the Cooperation Cultivation between a Higher Vocational College and an Enterprise
Field engineers emphasize experience-based,practice-focused and complex problem-solving in real vocational situations, which inherently determines that their training must take the paths of industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation.Taking Zhangjiagang Branch of Jiangsu Union Technical Institute and Yonggang Group as a case,it is found that the two jointly cultivate field engineers by taking three main initiatives:building a three-dimensional organizational structure, implementing role-diversified cultivation paths, and constructing a distinctive school-enterprise fusion development model. The case provides the following insights for the training of field engineers in vocational education:building a diversified and symbiotic governance mechanism, practicing the work process-oriented teaching mode, optimizing the design of the project curriculum system, building a"double-qualified teacher"teaching mixed team, and strengthening the reform of talent cultivation and evaluation.
