Research on the Adaptability of Higher Vocational Education to Regional Economic Development——Taking the Coastal Areas of Jiangsu as an Example
Vocational education is a type of education closely related to the economy and society,and enhancing the adaptability of vocational education is the key to promote the high-quality development of regional economy.The coastal areas of Jiangsu have obvious geographical advantages and huge development potential.Higher vocational education in the coastal areas of Jiangsu has formed a certain scale and made positive contributions to serving the development of the region.However,there are still problems such as the mismatch between the level of education and the high-quality development of the regional economy,the mismatch between specialty construction and regional industrial clusters and geographical advantages,the mismatch between social service capabilities and the high-quality development needs of the coastal areas,and the mismatch between the development pattern of vocational education and the requirements of coastal integration development.Therefore,higher vocational colleges in the coastal areas of Jiangsu urgently need to establish vocational undergraduate schools,build a marine characteristic specialty group,deepen the industry-education integration,and construct a regional integrated collaborative innovation pattern of vocational education.
