The Impact of Student Aid on the Poor Students Receiving Higher Education——Based on A Case Study of 12 Poor Students in Higher Vocational Colleges
Financial aid for college students is of great significance to promote the development of higher education and educational equity.Higher vocational education is an important way for students in poor areas to receive higher education.Through interviews and observations of 12 poor students in higher vocational colleges,it was found that their experience of higher education can be divided into four stages:accumulation of early education,choice of colleges and majors,academic development and social integration,the choice at graduation and social mobility.Student aid mainly affects their participation in higher education in the form of information,funding and experience.The process of receiving higher education for poor students in higher vocational colleges is full of challenges.Student aid should keep up with the development of higher vocational education,and support poor students by providing more perfect service in the turn from high school to college,improve the aiding system and caring for the female group among poor students in higher vocational colleges.
