Study on the Coupling and Coordination Effect of Higher Vocational Education and New Quality Productive Forces——Based on Panel Data of 31 Provinces from 2010 to 2022
Higher vocational education forms a bidirectional driving coupling relationship with new quality productive forces. This paper examines the coordination effect between higher vocational education and new quality productive forces in China by using panel data of 31 provinces from 2010 to 2022.The study found that the coordination degree and level of higher vocational education and new quality productive forces have significantly improved from 0.372(slight imbalance)in 2010 to 0.542(barely harmonious)in 2022.The coupling coordination degree of the three regions showed a distribution pattern of absolute value"East>Central>West"and annual growth rate"West>East>Central",featured with"East leading""West rising"and"Central collapse".The difference in coupling coordination degree between provinces is mainly due to regional differences, which have been somewhat reduced in general, but began to rebound with 2018 as the inflection point. The coupling coordination degree exhibited the characteristic of global spatial positive correlation, with neighboring provinces developing at a relatively consistent level, and the local autocorrelation features are mainly high-high agglomeration. Therefore,we should focus on achieving the harmonious mutual promotion of the two systems by setting up systematic thinking to help higher vocational education and new quality productive forces drive both ways.We need to accurately plan the development strategies of different regions and provinces to achieve cross-regional cooperation and win-win.We should also capture the opportunities of the times, promote the integrated development of education, science, technology and talents, and achieve synchronous resonance of multi-links.
