The Connotation,Dilemma and Breakthrough Paths of Vocational-general Integration in the Context of the Construction of High-Quality Education System
The fundamental feature of a high-quality education system is the effective vocational-general education integration.This integration is a crucial step in deepening educational system reform and advancing the construction of a powerful country in education.The connotation of this integration refers to properly handle the relationship between vocational and general education under the guidance of system theory,involving a holistic,interconnected and balanced approach to examine their development,which entails effective coordination between different types and stages of education.The main challenges include public perception,policy governance,school-running and student development.In this regard,to construct a path to break through the dilemma of vocational-general education integration,we should reshape the concept of education,cultivate a thick cultural soil for equal recognition of vocational and general education;strengthen the top-level design,continuously expand the policy space of vocational-general education integration;and moderately implement the flexible implementation,gradually improve the living environment of vocational-general education integration in schools,and then build a high-quality education system with Chinese characteristics.
