The World Based on Transformation of Qi and Classical Chinese Cosmology
"Qi"is an important category in Chinese traditional philosophy. The Chinese traditional cosmology describes the whole picture of"one world"based on the understanding of the relationship between Qi and all things in the world. The so-called"one air under the world"in Zhuangzi shows the philosophical basis of the ancient Chinese"unitary view of this world".In this world picture, there is no treatment of subject and object, and no dichotomy between nature and society. Therefore, behind the"relational thinking"emphasized by Graham is actually a picture of the world, and the two cannot be separated.Qi monism is a typical world view of Han and Tang dynasties, and it is the development of the thought of"One Qi under the whole world"in Zhuangzi.Thinkers of the Song dynasty and after also emphasized the importance of"one world",even Zhuzi also completed the interpretation of world phenomena under the picture of"vaporized world".
