During the Six dynasties, though divided into north and south, there was a postroad from Luoyang to Jiankang communicate north and south. The trend, scenery, local conditions and customs of the postroad, all exerted influence to the Six dynasties literature genres, material and theme. After the reign of Yongjia, adapted to the changes of times, this postroad became the road of refuge and escapement for scholar-officials in troubled times.Record of civil service go to the front and be sent on a diplomatic mission, travel notes of diplomacy, expedition analecta, military changhe poetry, anecdote novel all can be found in this road. Not only that, but also the traditional travel literature has obvious promotion. The poems and prose generated in this period mainly wrote about the refuge, envoy, conquest and engagement of this road, with distinct characteristics of the turbulent times.Although the theme was not new, there were new changes in content and style. The creation of the travel literature improved the level of the Six dynasties, making the travel poems that were unknown before the Han and Wei dynasties and had not yet become an independent category become familiar common themes of the literati. This shows that the post road across the north and south is an important driving force for the development of the literature of the Six dynasties.
