Objective To establish a method for determination of 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane in blood for low levels by headspace thermal desorption with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS),and to provide reliable support for the identification and rescue treatment of poisoning cases caused by tetrachloroethane. Methods The blood samples were kept in a headspace bottle at 60 ℃ for 50 minutes, and the volatile components escaping from the samples were continuously transferred to the cold trap for enrichment and concentration, and then determined by gas chromatography and mass spectrometer after thermal desorption. Results 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane had a good linear relationship in the concentration range of 0.04-4.00 μg/L,and the linear correlation coefficient(R2)>0.999.The recovery rate of 0.1μg/L blood blank labeled samples was 89.7%,and the precision was good(5.6%).Conclusions The method had high sensitivity, simple operation and good stability. It can be used for qualitative and quantitative analysis of tetrachloroethane in blood.
