Objective To understand the network construction and operation of AIDS testing laboratories comprehensively in Baiyin,to analyze the existing problems and reasons,and to provide scientific basis for the network construction and management of AIDS testing laboratories in the future.Methods To investigate the AIDS testing laboratories which established before 2022 from the aspects of basic laboratory conditions,bio-safety and HIV related testing projects,the direct network reporting data of AIDS laboratory information management system and HIV antibody serological ability verification and assessment data from 2013 to 2022 were summarized,SPSS 19.0 software was used for statistical analysis.The comparison between different constituent ratios was carrired out by Chi-square test,Fisher's exact test and Chi-square trend test,P＜0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results By 2022,a total of 107 AIDS testing laboratories had been built in Baiyin,including 1 confirmatory laboratory(screening center),18 screening laboratories,and 88 testing points,full coverage with laboratories of medical and health institutions at township level and above and private medical institutions;There were a total of 231 testing personnel,all of them were part-time workers;Over the past 10 years,a total of 2 106 197 people were screened and tested for HIV antibodies,and 482 people were found to be positive;The participation rates for proficiency testing in the confirmatory(screening center)laboratory,screening laboratory,and testing point were all 100.0％,with an average qualification rate of 100.0％,98.3％,and 99.1％,respectively.Conclusions The network construction of AIDS testing laboratories in Baiyin has begun to take shape and has played its due role.It is urgent to upgrade the testing points of medical institutions above the second level and maternal and child health care institutions into screening laboratories;In the future,more investment should be made in hardware equipment of screening laboratories in medical institutions,and screening laboratories in AIDS designated hospitals should carry out follow-up examinations of AIDS efficacy;Laboratory quality management and introduce relevant measures should be strengthen to ensure the stability of the testing team.
