Objective To analyze the death status of malignant tumors among registered residents in Shazikou Street,Laoshan District,Qingdao,to understand the death characteristics of malignant tumors among residents,and to provide reference for the prevention and treatment of malignant tumors.Methods The death surveillance data of registered residents in Shazikou Street from 2017 to 2022 were collected and classified.The causes of death were coded according to the International Classification of Diseases(ICD-10).Excel 2016 and SPSS 27.0 software were used for data sorting and analysis.Descriptive epidemiological methods were used to analyze tumor mortality and the order of death causes.The component ratio was compared by Chi-square test,and the test level was α=0.05.Results From 2017 to 2022,there were 962 deaths from malignant tumors among residents in Shazikou Street,Laoshan District,Qingdao,with a crude mortality rate of 251.09/105 and a standardized mortality rate of 96.98/105.The mortality rate of males was higher than that of females.The top 5 malignant tumors in the order of death causes were lung cancer,liver cancer,gastric cancer,esophageal cancer and colorectal cancer,with a total of 708 cases,accounting for 73.60%of the total.Men aged 15-44 years old had a higher proportion of liver cancer and gastric cancer,while men over 45 years old had a higher proportion of lung cancer,liver cancer and esophageal cancer.Breast cancer and lung cancer accounted for a higher proportion in women aged 15-64,while lung cancer,liver cancer and gastric cancer were more common among women over 65 years old.Conclusions The death rate of malignant tumors among residents in Shazikou Street showed a steady downward trend,but it is still a public health problem that endangers residents.The prevention and control of lung cancer,liver cancer and stomach cancer should be emphasized.Women should focus on strengthening early screening of breast cancer,and taking targeted prevention and control measures to reduce the death rate of malignant tumors.
