Objective To analyze the mortality level and causes of death distribution of residents in Gaoping District of Nanchong City from 2018 to 2022,and to provide evidence for the formulating the measures of disease prevention and control.Methods The household registration and death report cards of Gaoping District of Nanchong City from January 1,2018 to December 31,2022 were exported from the China Disease Prevention and Control Information System-Population Death Information Registration Management System.Excel was used to organize the data,and descriptive analysis was conducted on the mortality,main causes of death and life lost.SPSS 17.0 software was used for Chi-square trend test,and the test level was α=0.05.Results From 2018 to 2022,the crude death rate of residents in Gaoping District of Nanchong showed an upward trend,with an average annual crude death rate of 746.93/105 and the standardized death rate of 488.47/105.The leading cause of death was perinatal disease in 0-4 years old group,injury and poisoning in 5-44 years old group,malignant tumor in 45-64 years old group,and cerebrovascular disease in 65 and above years old group.The top five causes of death were malignant tumor,cerebrovascular disease,respiratory system disease,heart disease,injury and poisoning,those were accounted for 87.48%of all deaths.The top five causes of life lost were malignant tumor,injury and poisoning,cerebrovascular disease,heart disease and respiratory system disease,which accounted for 79.96%of all causes of life lost.Conclusions The main factors affecting the health of residents in Gaoping District of Nanchong were chronic non-communicable diseases,mainly malignant tumors and cerebrovascular diseases.It is necessary to establish a comprehensive prevention and control mechanism for chronic diseases with the participation of the whole society.
