Objective To investigate the cognitive level of osteoporosis among middle-aged and elderly people in urban communities in Nanbu County,and to provide theoretical reference for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis among middle-aged and elderly people.Methods Convenient sampling was used to conduct a questionnaire survey on osteoporosis among 1 000 community residents aged 40 and above within the jurisdiction of Binjiang Office and Shubei Office in Nanbu County from September 2022 to April 2023,and the influencing factors were analyzed.The data was processed by SPSS 24.0 software,and t test,analysis of variance,and multivariate Logistic regression analysis were used.The test level was α=0.05.Results The average comprehensive score of the cognitive level of osteoporosis in middle-aged and elderly people in communities was(10.27±3.20),and the average scores of hazards scale,motor scale and calcium scale were(3.91±1.93),(3.42±1.48)and(3.48±1.27),respectively.Out of 26 questions,only 7 had an accuracy rate exceeding 50％.The results of multivariate Logistic regression analysis suggested that gender and age were influencing factors of the knowledge level of osteoporosis in middle-aged and elderly people(all P＜0.05).Conclusions The knowledge of osteoporosis among middle-aged and elderly people in the communities of Nanbu County was poor and it was affected by many kinds of factors.Community medical workers should strengthen the osteoporosis propaganda,and carry out regular osteoporosis education to improve the osteoporosis cognition level of the elderly in the communities.
