Epistaxis is a common and sometimes critical condition in the field of otolaryngology.Its clinical diagno-sis and treatment can be challenging,and the current Chinese medicine treatment approach needs further improvement.Professor Xie Hui and her team,based on years of clinical experience,have analyzed the pathogenesis and treatment strat-egies of epistaxis.We believe that the key pathogenesis of epistaxis lies in the disturbance of yin and yang and the disorder of qi and blood circulation,or the deficiency of vital energy and the loss of blood containment.In terms of treatment,rel-ying on the theory of drawing qi back to its origin,we focus on guiding qi downward and nourishing vital energy back to its source,and hope to provide new insights into the traditional Chinese medicine treatment of epistaxis.
