Objective To explore the rules of acupoints selection in the clinical treatment of Optical Neuroitis(ON)and provide new ideas for clinical prescription.Methods Search all literature on acupuncture in the treatment of ON from database from 1980 to 2023,and make visual analysis of the frequency,classification,association rules and clustering of the acupoints and prescription,the probe into the rules of acupoints selection and prescription for ON.Results 18 litera-tures and 20 acupoints were included.The most five frequently used acupoints were Jingming(BL1),Qiuhou(EX-HN7),Fengchi(GB20),Hegu(LI4),Cuanzhu(BL2).The acupoints were mainly on Foot Meridian of Gallbladder,Foot Meridi-an of Bladder and Extra points.The acupoints were mainly distributed to around head,which mostly around the eyes.Conclusion The study found that the Extra Points,the Foot Meridian of Gallbladder and the Foot Meridian of Bladder were often used in the treament of ON.The selected points are mainly followed"the selection of local points"as the prin-cipal part.Jingming(BL1),Qiuhou(EX-HN7),Fengchi(GB20),Hegu(LI4),Cuanzhu(BL2)were the main acupoints for the treatment of ON.
