The literature study found that the connotation of the name of laryngeal paralysis has gone through four transformations of"symptomatic concept-general term of pharyngeal emergencies-general term of pharyngeal diseases-pharyngitis".Combined with the development of TCM pharyngology,clarifying the connotation of the name of laryngeal paralysis is conducive to grasping the development of the discipline and further literature research.
