Objective To observe the changes in ocular biometric measurements after vitrectomy with silicone oil tamponade for rhegmatogenous retinal detachment(RRD)repair. Methods Sixteen eyes with RRD underwent vitrectomy with silicone oil tamponade were included in this study.Measurements of axial length(AL),anterior chamber depth(ACD),lens thickness(LT),keratometry(K1/K2)and central corneal thickness(CCT)using the IOLMaster 700 and analyzed between preoperative and postoperative in the eyes with RRD.Results AL and ACD increased,ACD decreased and after a duration of silicone oil tamponade, postoperative K1,K2,CCT were no significant differences in all measure-ments.Conclusion Vitrectomy with silicone oil tamponade for RRD effects AL(increase),ACD(decrease)and LT(in-crease),The effect of the results on ocular refraction and intraocular pressure needs further clinical study.
