Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine compound ultrason-ic atomization therapy based on anti-inflammatory immune regulation in the treatment with the meibomian gland dysfunc-tion-related dry eye disease.Methods The clinical data of patients diagnosed with meibomian gland dysfunction-related dry eye disease diagnosed in Luzhou people's Hospital from September 2017 to August 2021 were collected retrospective-ly.to evaluate the clinical efficacy of ultrasonic atomization of traditional Chinese medicine compound prescription(chrys-anthemum,honeysuckle,Ophiopogon,peppermint)in the treatment with the xerophthalmia with meibomian gland dys-function,the specific method is atomization once a day for 2 weeks.Results After 2 weeks of ultrasonic atomization treatment with the traditional Chinese medicine compound prescription,the scores of ocular symptoms of the main clinical indexes were significantly lower than those before treatment(P＜0.001).Conclusion The ultrasonic atomization therapy of traditional Chinese medicine compound based on anti-inflammatory and immune regulation is effective in the treatment of xerophthalmia caused by mild and moderate meibomian gland dysfunction,and significantly improves the clinical symp-toms and signs of the patients.
