In recent years, with the change in modern lifestyle, the incidence of myopia is showing an increasing trend and has become a public health problem worldwide. In addition to genetic and environmental factors, the develop-ment of myopia is also closely related to circadian rhythms.Circadian rhythms are biological rhythms that arise in living organisms in response to the rotation of the Earth and affect physiological and behavioral activity by regulating the body's biological clock system. The retina,as the photoreceptor of the eye,is particularly affected by the modulation of circadian rhythms. In this paper,we will look at the basic concepts of circadian rhythms, explore their relationship with the retinal regulatory mechanisms of myopia, and analyze their impact on the development of myopia.
