Advances in Study of Pharmacological Activities of Galangin
Galangin (3,5,7-Trihydroxyflavone),an important biological component in the rhizomes of Alpinia officinarumHance.Bioflavonoids have shown widespread concern for their potential to treat or prevent several diseases and galangin was found with multiple biological activities and medicinal value.In this paper,we reviewed the progress in pharmacological activity of galangin such as anti-cancer,anti-inflammatory,anti-allergic,anti-oxidation and other aspects,together with development and utilization,which provided a reference for the comprehensive development and utilization of galangin.
