Bibliometric Analysis of the Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine Project Funded by the National Key Research and Development Program
Objective:To study the research progress of the Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine Project(referred to as the Project)funded by the National Key Research and Development Program.Methods:The related articles published from 2017 to 2023 were retrieved from China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang Data,VIP,China Biology Medicine(CBM),and Web of Science Core Collection(WoSCC).The bibliometric method and CiteSpace were employed to analyze the authors,institutions,and research hotspots.Results:A total of 2701 publications in Chinese were screened out,involving 108 core authors and 2 large research teams.The China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences had the most publications.The research hotspots included clinical evaluation and mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),such as medication rules and TCM syndromes,and cardiovascular diseases and malignant tumors were the main diseases studied.In addition,732 publications in English were screened out,among which the Chinese Academy of Sciences had the largest number of publications.Pharmacological studies such as pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics were the research hotspots.Conclusion:Supported by the Project,the basic research of TCM and the clinical research based on evidence-based medicine have been deepened,with great progress achieved in the research on the prevention and treatment of major diseases with TCM.In the future,efforts should be made to transform the research achievements and deepen the application of artificial intelligence in the modern research of TCM.
