Detection of Volatile Components in Flos Citri Grandis from Different Plant Varieties by HS-GC-MS Combined with ROAV
Objective:To systematically compare the volatile components and aroma characteristics of Flos Citri Grandis produced from different plant varieties.Methods:Headspace-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(HS-GC-MS)was employed to detect the volatile components of 40 batches of Flos Citri Grandis samples produced from four plant varieties("Guangqing""Jiaxiyang""Miye Zhengmao"and"Huanglong Zhengmao"),and the key aroma components were analyzed based on the relative odor activity value(ROAV).The significantly differential components and characteristic aroma components of Flos Citri Grandis from different varieties were screened by multivariate statistical analysis.Results:HS-GC-MS identified 40 volatile components of Flos Citri Grandis from four plant varieties. The volatile components were mainly olefins, alcohols, esters, ketones, and aldehydes, among which limonene,β-myrcene,linalool,and trans-nerolidol were the common components with high content.Eight key aroma components shared by the four varieties were screened out based on ROAV.The difference analysis of volatile components showed that 21 differential markers could be used for variety distinguishing, among which β-pinene and linalool were the characteristic aroma components of"Jiaxiyang"and"Miye Zhengmao",respectively, and benzeneacetaldehyde,trans-nerolidol,and methyl anthranilate were the characteristic aroma components of"Huanglong Zhengmao".Conclusion:We combined HS-GC-MS with ROAV to distinguish different varieties of Flos Citri Grandis and identified the differential characteristic aroma components. This study provides reference for variety distinguishing and comprehensive development and utilization of Flos Citri Grandis resources.
