Research Progress on Chemical Constituents and Pharmacological Effects of Trillium L.
There are about fifty species of Trillium L.in the world,three of which are in China,including T.kamtschaticum Pall.,T.govanianum Wall.,and T.tschonoskii Maxim.The main chemical constituents of Trillium L.are steroidal saponins.Modern pharmacological studies have shown that medicinal plants of Trillium L.have significant effects in anti-cancer,anti-inflammatory and analgesic,anti-Alzheimer's disease,liver protection,anti-pathogenic microorganisms,anti-osteoporosis,anti-oxidation functions,and the alleviation of cardiovascular,cerebrovascular,and digestive systems.In this paper,the distribution,chemical constituents and pharmacological activities of Trillium L.in China and abroad have been systematically reviewed,so as to provide a reference for the in-depth research,development and utilization of Trillium L.
