Digital Identification and Analysis of Commelinae Herba and Its Counterfeit Commelina diffusa
Objective:To achieve digital identification and analysis of Commelinae Herba(CH)and its counterfeit Commelina diffusa(CD)using ultra-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry(UPLC-QTOF-MS)and digital"identity".Methods:UPLC-QTOF-MS was utilized to analyze CH and CD.After quantification with Progenesis QI,the shared ion information from different batches of CH and CD was extracted, and their specific ion arrays were screened. The top n ion information based on ion intensity was output as the digital"identity"of CH and CD,respectively. This digital"identity"was then used as a benchmark for sample matching identification, with feedback provided on the matching credibility. Results:The digital"identity"of CH and CD enabled efficient and rapid digital identification of the two at the individual level, with matching credibility exceeding 68.00%.Even when CD made up only 5%of mixed samples,it could still be identified efficiently and accurately. Conclusion:Based on UPLC-QTOF-MS and digital"identity",rapid digital identification and analysis of CH and its counterfeit CD can be achieved at the individual level. This method facilitates rapid quality control of CH and offers new ideas and references for the digital quality control of Chinese medicine.
