Estrogen is an important steroid hormone in the human body, it can induce pluripotent cellular responses through various estrogen receptor mediated genomic and rapid non-genomic pathways. Among them, the rapid non-genomic pathway is mainly mediated by the G protein-coupled estrogen receptor (GPER) through the protein kinase pathway and the second messenger pathway. Currently, increasing evidence suggests that GPER is involved in the occurrence and development of endometrial cancer by activating multiple signaling pathways. Therefore, investigating the mechanism of estrogen promoting the progression of endometrial cancer from the perspective of GPER will provide new ideas for the prevention and treatment of endometrial cancer.
