Application of 3D printing artificial vertebral body in the treatment of postop-erative revision of spinal tuberculosis:A case report
Objective To investigate the application of 3D printed artificial vertebral body in the revision of spi-nal tuberculosis after surgery. Methods In this study,a patient with fracture and loosening of internal fixation af-ter spinal tuberculosis surgery was treated in our hospital with 3D printing artificial vertebral body to establish sta-bility of the affected vertebrae, and the corresponding scoring system and imaging were used to evaluate the surgi-cal effect. Results The patient's clinical symptoms were significantly relieved, the lumbar and back VAS score showed significant relief of pain, and the Frankel score showed significant recovery of nerve function.CT showed that the artificial vertebral bone graft and the lateral bone graft were well fused without loosening or fracture of in-ternal fixation. Conclusion 3D printed artificial vertebrae can be used for revision after spinal tuberculosis sur-gery to rebuild the stability of patients'diseased vertebrae.
