Construction of post competency evaluation index system for specialized nurses in highly dependent wards based on competency iceberg model
Objective Based on the competency iceberg model,we aim to construct a job competency evaluation index system for nurses specializing in high-dependency wards in line with China's national conditions,and to provide a reference for the skill training and assessment mechanism of nurses specializing in high-dependency wards.Methods Using literature review and semi-structured interviews,we initially constructed an evaluation in-dex system of job competency for nurses in high-dependency wards,and conducted two rounds of expert corre-spondence with 15 representative experts.Results After two rounds of correspondence,the expert specialist au-thority coefficients were 0.85 and 0.89,and the Kendall's coordination coefficients were 0.431 and 0.486(P<0.01).The constructed index system for evaluating the competency of High Dependency Unit specialty nurse positions includes 6 first-level indexes,15 second-level indexes,and 36 third-level indexes.Conclusion The e-valuation index system of High Dependency Unit nurse specialists has been constructed in this study that can help medical institutions better understand and evaluate the competency of High Dependency Unit nurse specialists,and provide a reference basis for the subsequent training,assessment and appointment of High Dependency Unit nurse specialists.
