Establishment and validation of the risk prediction model for diabetic kidney disease in patients with type 2 diabetes
Objective To analyze the risk factors related to diabetic kidney disease(DKD)in type 2 diabetes(T2DM)patients and develop a risk prediction model. Methods Retrospective analysis of T2DM patient data from the Geriatric Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from November 2005 to June 2022.Patients were divid-ed into DKD and Non-DKD groups.Baseline data were compared, and univariate Cox analysis was conducted.Significant variables and key factors from literature were used in multivariate Cox regression to develop the mod-el,represented as a nomogram and internally validated. Results Of the 600 T2DM patients,203(33.8%)de-veloped DKD.Multivariate Cox analysis identified female, low eGFR level, high UACR level, low HDL-C level, and increased postprandial glucose(PPG)were independent risk factors for DKD.A model based on Cox with the above factors were established and showed good prediction ability, with AUCs of 0.71(training)and 0.77(validation),respectively.Conclusion This study identified independent risk factors for DKD in T2DM patients and established a reliable risk prediction model, which provided a reference for clinical practice.
