The effect of acupoint massage combined with limb movements on gastrointes-tinal function in patients with severe acute pancreatitis
Objective To explore the effect of acupoint massage combined with limb movements on gastrointesti-nal function in patients with severe acute pancreatitis(SAP).Methods Convenience sampling was used to select 64 patients with severe acute pancreatitis who received treatment in a comprehensive ICU of Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical University from January to December 2023 as the study subjects.According to the length of hospi-tal stay,32 SAP patients from July to December 2023 were selected as the experimental group, and 32 SAP pa-tients from January to June 2023 were selected as the control group. The experimental group received acupoint massage combined with limb movements, while the control group received early activity. The intra-abdomi-nal pressure and gastrointestinal function recovery between the two groups of SAP patients were compared. Results Twenty-nine cases in the experimental group and 30 cases in the control group completed the study.Compared with the control group, the experimental group had a more significant reduction in internal abdominal pressure at 3,5 and 7 days after intervention, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The recovery time of gas-trointestinal function in experimental groups was lower than that in control group, and the difference was statisti-cally significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupoint massage combined with off-bed activity and early activity can reduce intestinal pressure and improve gastrointestinal function in SAP patients, but acupoint massage combined with off-bed activity is more effective and can better promote the recovery of SAP patients.
