Clinical analysis and pharmaceutical care of pseudocholelithiasis in children caused by standard-dose of ceftriaxone
Objective To increase clinical awareness and attention to the risk of standard-dose of ceftriaxone that may lead to pseudocholelithiasis in children. Methods Clinical pharmacists identified pseudocholelithiasis in pe-diatric patients undergoing ceftriaxone anti-infective therapy at standard dosages during B-ultrasound examina-tions,prompting an investigation into pharmaceutical care practices and mechanisms. Results Clinical pharma-cists identified the correlation of adverse drug reactions and provided pharmaceutical care. The children's symp-toms were alleviated, and the patients were discharged for further monitoring of suspected gallstones. Conclusion The standard-dose of ceftriaxone also raise the risk of adverse reactions in children with pseudocholelithiasis.Clinical pharmacists can actively carry out pharmaceutical care of adverse drug reactions,so as to protect the safety of children's drug therapy.
