Objective To investigate the current status of cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR)knowledge,atti-tudes,practice(KAP)and self-efficacy among the public in Guizhou Province, and analyze its influencing fac-tors to provide reference for public CPR capabilities. Methods From February to June 2022,a survey was con-ducted among the public in Guizhou Province using a snowball sampling method and a self-designed questionnaire covering demographics,CPR knowledge, attitudes, practices, and self-efficacy was used. Results A total of 937 valid questionnaires were collected. The public's scores for CPR KAP and self-efficacy were 33.78±11.22,43.97±5.74,16.80±2.75,and 11.02±4.19,respectively.Chi-square tests revealed that different demo-graphic characteristics(gender, age, marital status, education level, residence, and health status)and experi-ences related to CPR(knowledge and use of automated external defibrillators, exposure to CPR information,en-counters with CPR situations,CPR performance, and CPR training participation)were significant factors influen-cing CPR practices(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis indicated that knowledge,attitudes,self-effi-cacy,exposure to CPR information, encounters with CPR situations, age, rural residence, and CPR training participation significantly influenced CPR practices(P<0.05).Conclusion The public in Guizhou Province generally holds positive attitudes towards CPR and demonstrates a high willingness to perform CPR.However, there is room for improvement in CPR knowledge mastery and self-efficacy.According to the needs of the public at different levels,it is urgent to strengthen the popularization of CPR education, expand the training population, and further enhance the public's self-rescue and mutual rescue ability.
