A Randomized Controlled Study of Cangfu Daotan Decoction for Chest Pain in Patients with Coronary Heart Disease of Phlegm Turbid Obstruction Type Based on Xuanfu Theory
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of Cangfu Daotan Decoction(CDD)based on Xuanfu theory in treating chest pain of coronary heart disease. Methods:A total of 153 patients with chest pain in coronary heart disease(CHD)with phlegm turbid obstruction type meeting the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into control group(75 cases)and observation group(78 cases)according to coin toss randomization method. The control group was given conventional Western medicine intervention, and the observation group was given the same in addition to oral CDD,once in the morning and once in the evening. The course of treatment for both groups was 2 weeks.N-terminal probrain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP),cardiac troponin(cTnI),blood pressure,TCM syndrome scores(chest pain, palpitations, shortness of breath),frequency and duration of each chest pain and adverse reaction rate were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the effective rate of the observation group(94.87%,74/78)was higher than that of the control group(84%,63/75),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,NT-proBNP,cTnI,systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure decreased in both groups(P<0.05),and the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.01).After treatment,TCM symptom scores of palpitation, chest pain and shortness of breath decreased in both groups(P<0.05),and the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.01),and the frequency and duration of chest pain decreased in both groups(P<0.05),and the observation group was lower than the observation group(P<0.01).There was no statistical significance in the occurrence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Based on Xuanfu theory,Cangfu Daotan Decoction is effective in treating chest pain of phlegm turbid obstruction type coronary heart disease. It can improve related symptoms and heart function of patients with less adverse reactions.
