Clinical Study of Modified Shenggan Shuyu Decoction Combined with Magnetoelectric Biofeedback Therapy in the Treatment of Female Stress Urinary Incontinence
Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of modified Shenggan Shuyu Decoction(SSD)combined with magnetoelectric biofeedback therapy in the treatment of female stress urinary incontinence(SUI).Methods:A total of 108 patients with SUI who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into observation group and control group according to simple random method, with 54 cases in each group. The control group received magnetoelectric biofeedback therapy twice a week;while observation group was treated with the same plus modified SSD,1 dose a day, divided into two times, once after breakfast, and once after supper, and both groups were treated for 8 weeks. The fibromuscular strength and electromyography values of Class I and Class Ⅱ pelvic floor muscles before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. The 1-hour urine pad test and modified Oxford score were used to evaluate the improvement of SUI,and the clinical efficacy was compared. The quality of life of the patients was assessed by using the urinary incontinence impact questionnaire(IQ-7).The occurrence of adverse reactions during treatment was recorded.Results:3 patients dropped out and 105 patients were eventually included in the study, including 52 patients in the observation group and 53 patients in the control group. After treatment, muscle strength and muscular electricity values of types I and Ⅱ muscle fibers in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).One hour urine leakage volume of the observation group was smaller than that of the control group, and modified Oxford score was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The total treatment effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(92.31%(48/52)vs.75.47%(40/53),P<0.05).ⅡQ-7 score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference of ⅡQ-7 score before and after treatment was greater than that of the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Modified Shenggan Shuyu Decoction combined with magnetoelectric biofeedback therapy is effective in the treatment of female SUI,which can relieve clinical symptoms and improve pelvic floor muscle strength and pelvic floor function, thus can improve the quality of life.
