Effect of Modified Linggan Wuwei Jiangxin Decoction on Inflammatory Indicators and Lung Function in Patients with Acute Exacerbation of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
Objective:To explore the effect of modified Linggan Wuwei Jiangxin Decoction(MLWJD)on inflammatory indicators and lung function in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD).Methods:A hundred and fifty AECOPD patients meeting the inclusion criteria were selected and randomly divided into control group and study group according to the random number table,with 75 cases in each group.The control group received routine Western medicine treatment,while the study group received the same plus MLWJD.The clinical symptom disappearance time,inflammatory indicators,lung function,clinical treatment efficacy,and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared before and after treatment.Results:After treatment,CAT score,mMRC score and TCM syndrome score decreased(P<0.05),6MWT increased(P<0.05),IL-6,IL-8 and CRP were decreased(P<0.05).Both FEV1 and FEV1/FVC increased(P<0.05),and the above indexes in the study group were superior to those in the control group(P<0.01).The total clinical effective rate of the study group was 90.67%(68/75),which was significantly higher than that of the control group(76%(57/75)(P<0.05).Adverse reactions occurred in 2 patients in the study group and 17 patients in the control group,and the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Modified Linggan Wuwei Jiangxin Decoction can effectively improve the symptoms of AECOPD patients,reduce inflammatory indicators,improve lung function,improve clinical treatment efficacy,and reduce adverse reactions.
