Progress of Acupuncture Mechanism in the Treatment of Cerebral Ischemia Reperfusion Injury
Cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury(CIRI)is an important pathological condition in acute cerebral infarction patients after the restoration of blood perfusion, involving a variety of pathological processes, such as endoplasmic reticulum stress, apoptosis, inflammatory response, cell pyrodeath and iron death.Acupuncture treatment of CIRI has good curative effect and can play a protective role in brain through various ways.In this paper, the molecular and genetic studies on the protective effects of acupuncture on the brain were reviewed. It was found that acupuncture plays a multi-level,multi-pathway and multi-target role in brain protection. It can play a therapeutic role by interfering with endoplasmic reticulum stress, inhibiting cell apoptosis, reducing cell inflammatory response, regulating cell pyrosis, inhibiting iron death, moderately activating autophagy, promoting angiogenesis, improving learning and memory, etc.
