Clinical Study on the Treatment of Spleen and Stomach Deficiency Type Chronic Atrophic Gastritis with Warm Needling Combined with Navel Therapy Patch
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of warm needling combined with navel therapy patch in the treatment of spleen and stomach deficiency type chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG).Methods:Sixty patients with CAG were selected from the Departments of Preventive Treatment,Oncology, and Gastroenterology at Xiangyang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. They were randomly divided into control and treatment groups using a random number table, with 30 patients in each group. The control group was treated with clarithromycin and Wenweishu capsules, while the treatment group was treated with a navel therapy patch combined with warm needling acupuncture, both for a continuous duration of 12 weeks.Changes in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)symptom scores(including stomach pain, poor appetite, epigastric fullness, belching, fatigue),histopathological scores(including gastric mucosal inflammation score, glandular atrophy score, and intestinal metaplasia score)were observed before and after treatment in both groups, and clinical efficacy was compared. Results:In terms of TCM symptom scores, the treatment group showed significant reductions in scores for stomach pain, poor appetite, epigastric fullness, belching, and fatigue after treatment, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).In terms of histopathological scores, both groups showed significant reductions in gastric mucosal inflammation scores, glandular atrophy scores, and intestinal metaplasia scores after treatment(P<0.05).In terms of clinical efficacy, the total effective rate was 100%(30/30)in the treatment group and 96.6%(26/30)in the control group, with no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).However,the TCM symptom scores were significantly lower in the treatment group compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Warm needling combined with a navel therapy patch has a good clinical effect on spleen and stomach deficiency type chronic atrophic gastritis and can provide a reference for non-drug treatment methods in clinical practice.
